This is about all the bad days in the world. I used to have some little bad days and I kept them in a little box. And one day, I threw them out into the yard. “Oh, it’s just a couple little innocent bad days.” Well, we had a big rain. I don’t know what it was growing in, but I think we used to put eggshells out there and coffee grounds, too. Don’t plant your bad days. They grow into weeks. The weeks grow into months. Before you know it you got yourself a bad year. Take it from me. Choke those little bad days. Choke ‘em down to nothin’. They’re your days. Choke ‘em!
I needed this.

Went on a nice long bike ride today. Biking along the Huron River did great things for my body & mind.

I don’t even care if Romney’s claim that 92% of those who’ve lost jobs under the Obama administration are women is true (for the record, it’s not).
Quite frankly, I’d rather be unemployed than forcibly pregnant.
Me too!!!

So, last week I approached my boss about the idea of slightly modifying my work schedule for three months over the summer (first week of May through first week of August) so that I could take Anatomy & Physiology two nights a week (Monday & Wednesday, from 3:30-8:30) instead of four nights a week (from 6-9:30, which when combined with working 40+ hours a week would have literally killed me) and he was totally cool with it. Yesterday he ran it by my regional manager who was surprisingly doubly cool with it. So for the next three months, my work schedule will be something like this:
Monday 7:30am-2:30pm (6.5)
Tuesday 7:30am-5pm (9)
Wednesday 7:30am-2:30pm (6.5)
Thursday 7:30am-5pm (9)
Friday 7:30am-5pm (9)
Then on Mondays & Wednesdays, I’ll head to lecture & lab until about 8:30. I’ve been taking online classes for two years but the last time I was in an actual classroom was during my undergrad back in the early part of 2008. While I’m super super super excited to get certified & learn coding, reimbursement & office procedures, there is virtually NO part of me that actually WANTS to take A&P. A) I’ve NEVER taken an A or P course, B) I have historically SUCKED at science, C) It’s a NIGHT CLASS during the SUMMER, D) Online classes are so much more my style, E) Etc., etc., etc. That being said, as long as I finish the last three weeks of my current class strongly, I will have a 4.0GPA for my entire time at Washtenaw & it’s really important to me to keep that up so when I officially transfer to Schoolcraft, I won’t have any issues getting into the program. I’m terrified because the next three months are going to be pretty insane for me and will probably involve little to no social life (as opposed to now? HA, I am funny!) but I just need to stay focused and remember how much better it feels to work my ass off for a 4.0 than it did to slack and bomb classes during my undergrad.
Okay, breakfast time. Byeeee.

Post-bike ride dinner, taking advantage of my flexitarian ways. Chicken, asparagus, wild rice.
This looks effing amazing!
